Find your own pace, fluidity and strength in a structure that is only a "suggestion".

Monthly Focus - Diving Deeper

Each month Julie picks a focus or theme to explore in her weekly masterclasses. Each week she repeats the sequence, and may add on to the sequence, or dive deeper into a section of it. This deepening exploration through repetition and movement gives us the opportunity to let go of unwanted patterns, behaviours, stories and limitations allowing us to cultivate a relationship with our inner self.   

In all of Julies masterclass explorations students are encouraged to find their own pace, fluidity and strength in a structure that is only a "suggestion". You are no longer asked to get "into" a pose, but if stillness arises then space is given for you to pause, feel and sense. Moving on only when you are ready, moving with the body not against it. Using awareness of sensation Julie will guide you to explore natural spirals, waves, pulses, expansion and contraction, integrated movement, breath and pause.  Listening without judgement to what your body has to say, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

January Theme - Universal Core

Classes Wednesdays at 18.00 CET 

 

What is universal Core? It’s any group of muscles that must be engaged to execute a particular movement.

This is what functional movement is really about. Can we have mobility while we are integrating muscle groups as we shift from shape to shape? When we work this way it mirrors our natural movement.

We’re not designed to hold shapes for long periods (including sitting all day 🤦🏻‍♀️) The human form is designed to cross different terrains, be able to climb and crawl as well as adapt to new movement patterns when needed.

This month I’m focusing on movements that challenge our connection in different movement patterns to help us feel the integration internally and give us that sense of centre. This is true functional movement!

I'm here to invite you into a practice that embraces your individuality and curiosity. An EMBODIED Yoga based on a sensory experience, free from outdated dogma and limited linear structures.

Raised as a Vendatist, I grew up immersed in the philosophy of yoga. In my 20's I began to practice asana and research different ways of moving while studying the history of yoga. The resulting discovery is that yoga is EVOLVING and always has, so we have permission to explore these practices, challenge the myths, and move forward with knowledge and awareness.

My mission is to EMPOWER your practice. To help find your own pace, fluidity, and strength in a structure that is an invitation, not a rule. Tap into your curiosity and trust your experience to take charge of your practice on and off the mat.
