Function Over Form
This lesson will take you through some of the myths about the idea of ‘form’ and show you how important it is that your body moves in a functional way first and foremost. This allows us to move with natural ease instead of rigidity caused by trying to force the body into a form that isn’t useful. The beauty of letting go of form and moving with the body’s natural design is that we find our range of motion, our strength and stability and enjoy the process and trust of the inherent intelligence our bodies have been begging us to listen to.
The Stretching Myth
Many a yoga class has been built on the principle of stretching. But I’m here to tell you that it’s not really necessary. The body will release tension and stress much more efficiently when we work with it, not against it.
In this lesson you’ll learn what fascia is, why it’s important and how to keep it healthy, elastic and fluid. The magic piece in this session is learning how to remove resistance so that you increase range of motion, work with integrated movement and get access to shapes and poses you thought would always be hard for you.
Alignment Versus Movement

This session will free you from the binds of “old school” linear alignment cues and help you make peace with your own body. Understand that bone structure is different for everyone and that we can negotiate our way into and out of shapes with energy and ease. But that is not to say we are throwing out all the old asanas and their cues. We’re just going to approach them from a different perspective now that we have a deeper understanding of how our bodies work.
The Nervous System
Are you aware of what an important role our nervous system plays in finding stability, ease and ultimately relaxation? In this lesson I'll introduce principles of how our nervous system works and how we might be triggering more tension and stress in the way we move without realising it. You’ll gain insight into the reasons we need to pause, unlock our joints, and work with negotiation instead of trying to force shapes on our bodies.
Now it’s time to put all the information you’ve gained through the other videos in this course into action. This 15 minute practice takes you through a sequence that emphasises our elasticity and movement from a fascial understanding, as well as exploring how our bodies find shapes and range of motion through enquiry, pausing and feeling into sensation.

I'm here to invite you into a practice that embraces your individuality and curiosity. An EMBODIED Yoga based on a sensory experience, free from outdated dogma and limited linear structures.
Raised as a Vendatist, I grew up immersed in the philosophy of yoga. In my 20's I began to practice asana and research different ways of moving while studying the history of yoga. The resulting discovery is that yoga is EVOLVING and always has, so we have permission to explore these practices, challenge the myths, and move forward with knowledge and awareness.
My mission is to EMPOWER your practice. To help find your own pace, fluidity, and strength in a structure that is an invitation, not a rule. Tap into your curiosity and trust your experience to take charge of your practice on and off the mat.
