Are you ready to change the way you practice yoga?
Learn how to embrace a practice that is based on how it feels, not what it looks like. It's time to challenge some asana myths and own the practice. Tap into your curiosity and trust your own experience.
I've created three courses that will guide you through this journey.
Here's what you'll learn....
The Magic Of The Body
Do you want to find more freedom in your body? I’m fascinated by the wondrous design of our bodies and the magic of its capabilities - something we are not taught in schools nor is often mentioned in a yoga class.
In this 5-part course you’ll reclaim yourself and get to know and embrace your body’s individuality, finding freedom in movement. Your practice will expand beyond measure as you unlock the magic of your body.
- Function over form - 20 mins
This lesson will take you through some of the myths about the idea of ‘form’ and show you how important it is that your body moves in a functional way first and foremost.
- The stretching myth - 20 mins
In this lesson you’ll learn what fascia is, why it’s important and how to keep it healthy, elastic and fluid.
- Alignment versus Movement - 28 mins
This session will free you from the binds of “old school” linear alignment cues and help you make peace with your own body.
- The nervous system - 19 mins
n this lesson I'll introduce principles of how our nervous system works and how we might be triggering more tension and stress in the way we move without realising it.
- The Practice - 15 mins
Put all you have learned into practice with a movement practice
The Freedom Of The Spine
Do you know that your spine loves to move in a million different ways? And yet, we’re often told to limit movement in the back for safety reasons. In the course I invite you to discover the natural ranges of motion your spine has been waiting for.
During this 4 part course you’ll truly embrace and understand what it means to be embodied in your practice. You’ll gain more trust in your body and how it moves and cultivate more stability.
- Understanding spinal movement - 30 mins
Learn how to find more freedom and integrated strength in movement. We allow the spine to find its own way, making space and releasing the tension.
- Spinal core movement for back relief - 25 mins
I'm bringing you a series of poses and movement explorations to stabilise the spine but with range of motion.
- Short sequence for spinal elasticity - 40 mins
A short 30 minutes flow focused on remaining elastic and fluid to cultivate more stability and awareness in your movement.
- Long sequence: spinal freedom - 60 mins
A full length sequence to take the deep dive into our bodies. Not only will you find spinal freedom but by now, really trust the natural movements we can create and liberate the entire body.
The Power Of Prana
Tap into the energy within during this Power of Prana course. Learn to access, experience, and direct your Prana and take your practice to a more subtle level inviting ease and grounding to your body and your life. Prana and our nervous system are intricately linked so as we tune in and work with our energy we can regulate stress levels and boost immunity. In this course, I will show you how to experience your Prana in movement, breath, and stillness. Not only will you get a full “moving prana” sequence to practice, but I'll also teach you two very powerful pranayama techniques that will help you feel that vibrancy under the skin and really come home to your body.
- Prana in movement, breath & stillness - 25 mins
We need to start at the beginning. What is prana and how do we work with it? This session is a tutorial to give you insight into the power of working with your subtle energy.
- Movement practice to release stuck Prana - 30 mins
We’ll get energy moving through your muscles, joints and spine through movements that wave, spiraling, flex and extend and then bring it all into stillness. Pause and learn to sense your life force rising up under your skin.
- Tibetan Purification pranayama - 14 mins
Learn a simple but wonderful Pranayama practice accessible to everyone. This variation of Nadi Shodhana uses alternate nostril breathing with few unique aspects as it involves a mudra with an arm movement.
- Vi Sama Vritti pranayama - 15 mins
This pranayama can be used daily to invite a deep sense of grounding and stable connection to a steady breath.
