Dance & Yoga Retreat in Goa...

What keeps us vital, engaged and ageless?

How can my body and my movement practice continue to evolve and fascinate me?

Together we'll investigate the embodied principles of curiosity in 2 generous sessions each day. Meeting our bodies and each other, we enhance our enlivened curiosity through embracing the physicalized practice of wonder; there is deep joy here.

Invoking the essence of the thousands of years that these processes emerge through, our group deepens through coming together in movement, stillness, ritual and creativity all in our sanctuary of presence.

The Food

Nourishing your life takes more than just sunshine, yoga and friendly staff (although these are important factors, found here!). The food you eat and fuel you drink is everything. Our kitchen serves full-body satisfaction on every plate and in every glass, leaving your body buzzing in gratitude. Satsanga Retreat serves from a vegetarian kitchen, with the freshest ingredients. It is challenging to source a completely organic kitchen in Goa, but they do what they can by purchasing locally grown fruit and vegetables sourced from the market and other trusted merchants. Most of the grains and sweeteners such as honey and jaggery are organic. Satsanga Retreat also prepares everything fresh and homemade. Some of the herbs and salad ingredients used by the kitchen are grown in their garden, when ready the bananas can be picked from the trees at Satsanga, and your soya milk is freshly made on site. the eggs are always organic and are sourced from the village free-range chickens.

About Your Teachers

Julie Martin

Julie Martin wants you to think outside the box, get off your mat, shake up the old dogmas and find freedom to unfold into the beauty of a yoga practice that emerges from the inside. With over 25 years of experience and an international following of students and teachers alike, Julie’s greatest aim is to inspire. Her particular passion for human movement means continual investigation of new anatomical approaches, working with natural movement, range of motion, integrated stability and letting go of some of the old asana myths in order to move with the body and not against it. The practice is always an enquiry, a somatic exploration of sensation, movement and more
