Intro to 2nd Series

Julie MartinWhether you do second series or not this workshop will be a great exploration into the way the 2nd series works on the muscles, nervous and cardiovascular systems. Years ago the Primary and Secondary series used to always be practised together as they create a compliment for each other. Primary focusing on forwarding bending and Second on backbending and hip opening. Therefore adding second series postures to the end of your Primary practise will allow your body and mind to feel more complete in its movement.

In this workshop we will be taking the first third of the Second series and exploring modifications, understanding alignment of the spine and learning how far we should proceed with the series according to our abilities.

This workshop is suitable for any Ashtanga Vinyasa practitioner with at least one years' experience.
