As a non-profit organization, Green Goa Works focuses on the rehabilitation of Goa’s environment by developing eco-friendly solutions to combat environmental problems that inevitably occur during the process or rapid and unplanned urbanization. Its projects include garbage processing, composting, vermiculture; handling of solid waste dumping sites; collection and channelising schemes for plastic waste; clean up of beaches. Green Goa Works was set up in 2003, by some of Goa’s leading citizens and environmentalists, as a non-profit company registered under section 25 of the Companies Act. Can Anjuna residents bring their garbage to you? What are the categories of garbage? (Plastic, Hard Plastic, Mixed)? And what goes into each category?
